Yesterday while at work I wont a radio contest.. the joys of working from home~ So I had to go down to 5 Triad center , downtown to the office of the radio station. So when Ty got home from school we took that trip. Its nice to drive with him, we get alot of talking done. Mostly him talking and me listening, but thats ok. He always knows when to make me laugh!
Well we pulled up to the Triad center, and went into the lobby. Of all things to hear is.. Caren?? Is that you?? Do you remember me?? (honestly I did not!) He is like where do I know you from.. and my quick response was Miss America Pagent runner up?? ( had to think on the fly) Well that wasnt it (as if that is news!) He was a neighbor when we lived in Tooele, and since has moved to Saratoga Springs~ where we just moved from. So I asked him if he was planning to follow us up to Layton too.. but alas he is not~ at least for now!
Well back to my prize.. it was to be a 50 Visa card. Going to give it to Tyler to take on his EFY trip and it was because of him that I got the answer right. It shocked me that he really does learn in school!! He is trying to convince me that lightning does not come from the sky, but strikes up !! I will have to question that. Or google it!. When we got there, mind you driving to get there by 5 pm. They did not have any more gift cards.. did so many people have kids help them to answer the question right?? So now they are going to mail it. Wish that was the option at first! But I do have to say I did enjoy the drive time with Tyler. I am going to miss it when is not going to want to go with me anywhere... I mean ANYWHERE, because I am mom~~
